The houses of defecting Ethiopian Air Force pilots searched

ESAT News
December 25, 2014
ESAT’s Air Force sources have said that the houses of the pilots of Mi35-m attack helicopter
that defected last Friday has been searched by Ethiopian intelligence officers today.
Documents, flight manuals, weapons, accessories, and other materials found in their houses
have been seized.
No police accompanied the intelligence officers; the searchers did not show a court search
warrant. Although the Ethiopian Defense Force had said in its statement that the “hijack
of the helicopter was executed by the Chief Pilot forcing the co-pilot and the technician”,
sources say that fact that the two “innocent victims” house was searched shows that the
Force’s statement was wrong.
Meanwhile, scheduled and upcoming training programs have been suspended for an
unspecified time. Until the internal evaluation is completed and a new directive has been
given, flights and scheduled training programs have been suspended, which has led Air Force
Intelligence Officers to call and interrogate senior and novice entrants.                                                                               sourse http://ethsat.com/new/
