In the case of Berisha v. Switzerland, the Court held that there had been no violation of the right to respect for family life. The case concerned the Swiss authorities’ refusal to grant residence permits to the applicants’ 3 children, who were born in Kosovo and entered Switzerland illegally, and the authorities’ decision to expel the children to Kosovo.
